For all those living out of Europe, the countries in that continent are most of the times within the first places we'd like to visit in the Old Continent. When my time arrived, I picked Greece. There's something magic about Greece that not even the lovers of this magnificent country can explain. It's a vibe that's in the air and believe me there's no clear way to explain it. Leaving feelings aside, Greece is filled with rich ancient history that will leave you mesmerized. With lots of archeological structures, Greece has more than 18 UNESCO Heritage-listed sites. If you’re a history lover or not, take the time to visit the Acropolis, open-air museum of Dolos, Parthenon, Temple of Olympian – Zeus to name a few. All of these structures are still well maintained and provide a beautiful glimpse of the wonderful glorious past.
The local people of Greece are some of the friendliest people. Ever smiling and always looking to feed you with the best food, the locals always ensure you have a good time. The Greeks generally are very good with hospitality. They believe in living a larger than life and the same is shown when they meet new people. When you surround yourself with the Greeks, they will ensure that you will always have a great time.
Greek cuisine is mostly Mediterranean but it offers various other cuisines for its travelers. They have a great variety of local drinks and alcohol which is quiet famous. The famous Greek Coffee (not the traditional hot coffee) is a drink everyone loves to sip on during the hot summers. They are also known for their baked treats and desserts which are absolutely delicious. Being next to the waters, they also serve fresh seafood which is absolutely delectable.
Apart from beaches and island which Greece is famous for, Greece has many other destinations that provide mesmerizing landscapes. Having the longest coastline in Europe, Greece has many mountains, forests and stunning villages that also add great charm to the place. If hiking and trekking are your way to explore, these mountain villages will surely be a lot of fun.
If you want to explore the best nightlife, then Greece offers you the best. You can find a mix variety of old school charming restaurants as well as the modern ones each of it proving a beautiful Greek nightlife. If you want to dance to the tunes of traditional Greek Music, head to local tavernas where they play live music which is great. If you’re in the mood to explore the more western side to music, go to the clubs. You can choose whatever you wish, and you won’t be disappointed.
Greece is a country that doesn’t disappoint. It has offerings to suit everyone. If you’re looking to go with family, friends, or your loved one, Greece is the best choice. You can soak some vitamin sea while relaxing by the beaches, you can take a walk across the city to explore the history, you can take a hike up to the mountains to catch stunning views and you can gorge on some delicious food doing all of it. There are plenty of reasons to visit Greece.
